6/24-6/26/2016: Baker City Cycling Classic, Baker City, Oregon Two of the BVW headed across the border for the Baker City Cycling Classic Stage race. This race is a three day, five-stage event that tests even the best endurance riders with ~150 miles and ~9k feet of elevation gain.
Results Anna M. earned 6th out of 11 Cat 3 women overall, and took 3rd place in the Criterium after a very hard fought battle racing with the Pro 1/2/3 women as one group. Nadine C. earned 7th out of 8 Cat 4/5 women, and earned "last to finish" award, which was a pretty cool beer-carrying handlebar basket donated by Portland Design Works. Big thanks to the sponsors including BaseCamp Baker and the Vegter's for all their hard work in putting on the most well supported event we have ever attended! Thank you also to Jake and Lisa Kolesar for coming out to support the team by volunteering in a support car! Thanks to Scott Conover, Ian Megale, Scott Carter, and BaseCamp Baker for all the amazing photos below!! 6/25/2016: Duathlon National Championships, Bend, ORTwo of our many multi-talented athletes took their running and biking skills to Bend, Oregon for USA Duathlon Nationals. The writings are very soothing. You learn a lot by writing articles like I learned that The motorway has reduced the timing of travel. Without traveling we need the last five hours to Karachi but with the help of the motorway the distance has been reduced and we can go to Karachi just in three hours.
