This weekend started the race season off with a bang, with team members racing in multiple disciplines across multiple states. Members raced the 1st of the Bob's Spring Breakout Series put on by Bob's Bicycles, Echo Red2Red MTB race in Echo, Oregon, and the 1st of the Oregon Gravel Grinder series - Gorge Gravel Grinder in The Dalles, Oregon. Idaho Augusts are known for being hot and dry. Our grass gets less green, our gardens tend to wilt. And with fire season in full force, the Boise skies fill with smoke and athletes face the daily question, "Is it too smokey to train outdoors?" In between checking the Air Qualiy Index, the Boise VeloWomen were still dedicated to training and succeeding in some of August's awesome events.
