May Race Season is Ramping up!The month of May is beautiful in Boise. We begin to have warmer and more predictable weather, our sunlight lasts a bit longer and the races start ramping up! The Boise VeloWomen have had a busy and fun month of May this season including the State Road Race, Boise UpCycle's Wednesday Night Short Tracks, the first of the SWICA Crits, The Lyle Pearson 200 and Knobby 9-5. Additionally, your Boise VeloWomen hosted a brand new race, The Gem Grit Grinder on May 20th, with huge success (click here to read more about GGG2017) Boise UpCycle's Wednesday Night Short Track MTB RacesUpCycle decided to continue their amazing short track MTB series this year, and added a 4th race (which unfortunately was canceled due to that "predicable weather" mentioned above)!
The first race, held on May 3, 2017 had a great turnout, and we had purple on the podium! Great job Erin an Tiedji and all those who participated! Here's a short video of the first race - https://www.facebook.com/TeamUpCycleBoise/videos/1427669503967484/

This month was the worst month of the year for me. I wasn't able to focus on my hobbies, my work just consumed me. I wanted to do a lot of things, but my work never actually allowed me to do it. If you ask me, people need to think about what they need to do with their life, however, money is always an issue. I hope that next month allows me to enjoy this life, I do not want to work forever.
