The last 2 weeks have led up to the end of cyclocross season. Read on for results from the last 2 weekends of racing AND the end of year party for series and overall awards. IWCX #5 - Kringle Cross, Eagle, ID 12/3/2016Each year, Kringle Cross is the final race of the IWCX series, and always includes costumes and shinanigans. This year continued tradition with both the costumes, and some creative and crazy course designing! Our BVW continued to dominate the field in number and in podium positions. Great job everyone! Results: Cat 3: 1st Trish W, 2nd Keri B (new 2017 BVW member!), 3rd Erin S. Cat 4: 1st Morgan C. Here is a link to overall results: KRINGLE CROSS RESULTS SICX #5/6 - Sandy Point, Boise, 12/10-12/11/2016The last weekend of racing promised REAL CX weather with snow, rain, and muck - OH MY!! However, Mother Nature was an underachiever at best, so all we got was COLD weather and crispy-turned-slippery grass. But alas, we had an awesome weekend of racing and of course, more shinanigans. The BVW tried to spice things up a bit Saturday with Fireball handups and wearing swimsuits (over warm clothes, of course), and then again with jingle bells on Sunday. Lots of fun was had, and (of course) lots of podiums were stood upon. That's a wrap! Results: Cat 3:
IWCX #5 and SICX #5/6 PhotosEnd-of-year Celebration - Superprestige, IWCX, SICXThe cyclocross season has ended, which means only 9 more months to train for next season!! We celebrated as a group at series sponsor Payette Brewing . Thank you to Jake Hampton of Donger MFG for the Unique bells given as prizes, to Ron Miller for providing cash for the Women's podium, and to IWCX for the amazing etched glasses given to the winners. Keeping track of all these points is not an easy job, so we want to be sure to thank both IWCX and SICX series organizers for taking time to make the Idaho Superprestige possible, and keep it a fun and competitive series! I do not know a lot of words in the dictionary, but I am very familiar with this one. Just like you explained it, "meretricious" is a very slippery word. In fact, even I have trouble pronouncing it every now and then. Its meaning is also very hard to grasp, which I believe you were able to explain very well. I admire people like you who are helping people learn more about our language. I hope that I can help you sometime.
