CrossReno 2016 - 10/1/2016, Reno, NVBVW member Leah traveled to regional race in Reno for CrossReno 2016, which is also the future home to the 2018 Cyclocross Nationals. Idaho Waffle Cross (IWCX) is one of two race series that make up the Idaho Super Prestige Series, where racers around SW Idaho compete for the top spot on the podium and cash prizes. The 1st weekend of racing the IWCX did NOT disappoint. Course designer, Ryan, created a highly technical course that included plenty of off-camber turns, sand, grass, steep hills up and down, barriers, stairs, run-ups, and more. Word of the weekend was "endo." The Boise VeloWomen were on site cooking up amazing waffles donated by race sponsor, Bob's Red Mill, and coloring the women's field (and the podium) purple.
